Here’s my current list of places that I will be monitoring for live coverage of Apple’s “latest creation” tablet announcement… (post event notes on coverage below)

• gdgt (had the most reliable coverage)
• Gizmodo (decent coverage)
• Engadget (died a few times during event)
• Macworld (slow refreshing)
• Twitter Search* (hard to follow with so many tweets)

*For optimal Twitter Search following, I suggest creating a Fluid App SSB using the Twitter link above and install the “TwitterSearch” Userscript – this will auto refresh the Twitter search and also fire off Growl notifications. (growl killed my system CPU usage)

Why I love January… MacWorld (5th-9th) + CES (8th-11th) + Detroit Auto Show (11th-25th) = gadgets galore.

Finally, tested our iWPhone WordPress Plugin and Theme on WordPress 2.6.1 and it works great! Come visit this site on an iPhone and see it in action.

Testing this theory on my MacBook Air today. I installed Menu Meters and am keeping an eye on the core levels today. Tomorrow I may try CoolBook.

The official WordPress iPhone app is now available in the Apple App Store! I just wrote this post with it!

I installed a Pioneer FH-P800BT receiver in my MR2 this weekend and I’m happy to say it works great with the new iPhone 3G. The head unit can directly control all the iPod functions and the iPhone easily paired and can make and receive calls.

I’m totally impressed with the new applications available with the iPhone 2.0 software and the Apple App Store. Way to go Apple (and all you new iPhone developers)! Loving, iTunes Remote, Twitterific, Facebook and NetNewsWire.

The team at WordPress just announced that their native iPhone WordPress application is nearly ready to go – yay! This would be a great companion for our iWPhone WordPress theme/plugin.
